Xi-Delta Chapter of Kappa Sigma was founded at The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1995. The preserved installation materials date the Xi-Delta Chapter Installation Banquet to April 29, 1995.
For more than three decades, the chapter has built a tradition of brotherhood, leadership, service and accountability at UTSA. That foundation continues today through generations of undergraduate members and a strong alumni network.
Together, these materials preserve the names, leadership and early traditions that form the foundation of Xi-Delta’s story.

The alumni archive follows the brotherhood from the Founding Fathers through Beta-Nu.
Current undergraduates carry Xi-Delta forward with an alumni network approaching 800 brothers behind them.

The 36 Founding Fathers listed below established Xi-Delta at UTSA in 1995. Their names form the first chapter of our history and remain a permanent part of the brotherhood they created.
The 1995 installation program identifies these 12 brothers as Xi-Delta’s Alpha Pledge Class—the first men to begin their Kappa Sigma journey through the newly established chapter. Their place in Xi-Delta history marks the beginning of a pledge-class tradition that continues today.
The program also records Joseph G. Kovacevich Jr. and Arthur G. Dornik presenting the charter. Arthur Pike, identified as Art Pike elsewhere in the banquet program, is listed as a Brotherhood Developer, Lambda-Psi, St. Mary’s University.
